What is Indoor Environmental Ionizing Radiation Monitoring?
Indoor Environmental Ionizing Radiation Monitoring measures the levels of ionizing radiation present within your home or office. Ionizing radiation comes from natural and artificial sources and prolonged exposure can pose health risks. Our service helps you understand your exposure levels.
What is an RPL Dosimeter?
An RPL (Radio photoluminescent) Dosimeter is a small, passive device that measures ionizing radiation exposure over time. It's safe, reliable, economical and commonly used for personal and environmental monitoring. We provide you with this device to place in your living or working space.
Why should I be concerned about radiation levels in my home or office?
While background radiation is always present, elevated levels from certain building materials, radon gas, nearby industrial activities or some consumer products can increase your exposure. Monitoring helps identify potential sources and take necessary precautions.
What are the potential health effects of ionizing radiation exposure?
Prolonged exposure to high levels of ionizing radiation can increase the risk of health problems, including cancer. Our service helps you assess your exposure and take proactive steps to minimize risks.

How does this work?
Simply order the detector through our website. We will send you a RPL dosimeter with instructions. Place the dosimeter in your home or office for 30 days. After 30 days, return the dosimeter to us using the provided pre-paid envelope. We will analyse the dosimeter in our accredited lab and provide you with a detailed report and recommendations.
What does the report include?
Your report will show your average radiation dose over the measurement period and compare it to Malaysian control limits and global background radiation levels. We will also provide recommendations for mitigation if needed.
Is this service expensive?
We aim to make radiation monitoring accessible and affordable. Our pricing is economical and offers excellent value for the peace of mind it provides. RM150 will charge for every order and RM50 cash back will be provided with lab dose report (limited time offer).
What are the safe levels of radiation exposure?
We adhere to the control limit recommended by international organizations like the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Atom Malaysia. Your report will clearly indicate if your exposure levels are within the safe range.

What if my radiation levels are high?
If your results indicate elevated radiation levels, we provide recommendations for mitigation. This may include identifying potential sources, improving ventilation, or consulting with a radiation safety specialist.
Is this service available throughout Malaysia?
Yes, we offer our services nationwide. You can order from anywhere in Malaysia, and we will deliver the dosimeter to your doorstep.
What are the advantages of using an RPL dosimeter over a survey meter?
While survey meters provide instant readings, they only reflect the radiation levels at that specific moment. Our RPL dosimeter measures your exposure continuously over 30 days, providing a more comprehensive and accurate picture of your average radiation dose. This is crucial because radiation levels can fluctuate throughout the day and week.
Why is 30-day measurement important?
A 30-day measurement period captures variations in radiation levels due to factors like weather patterns, radon fluctuations, and changes in your daily routine. This gives you a more realistic assessment of your long-term exposure compared to a short-term snapshot.

How accurate are RPL dosimeters?
RPL dosimeters are highly accurate and reliable for measuring ionizing radiation. They are widely used in various industries, including healthcare and nuclear power, for personal and environmental monitoring. Our lab utilizes calibrated readers and follows strict quality control procedures to ensure accurate results.
Can I use the RPL dosimeter anywhere in my home?
Yes, you can place the dosimeter in any area of concern within your home or office. We recommend placing it in areas where you spend most of your time, such as your bedroom, living room, or workspace. Try to avoid placing it under direct sunlight.
What if I need to monitor radiation levels for longer than 30 days?
We offer flexible monitoring periods to suit your needs. Contact us to discuss extended monitoring options for longer-term assessments.
Is one RPL dosimeter enough for my entire home or office?
While a single dosimeter can provide a general overview of the background radiation levels in your home or office, it's important to remember that walls and other structures can act as shields, affecting radiation readings in different areas. For a more comprehensive understanding of your indoor environment, we recommend using multiple dosimeters, ideally one in each room. This allows you to create a detailed radiation map of your space and identify any localized areas of concern. Think of it like checking the temperature in your house. One thermometer can give you a general idea, but having one in each room will provide a more accurate picture of temperature variations throughout your home. Similarly, multiple dosimeters offer a more precise and nuanced understanding of radiation levels in your living or working space.
